As the weather changes and the holidays are approaching, it's time to take root in your body, mind and spirit so you can stay grounded.
Taking Root is a footwork, Pilates and essential oils workshop that will help you center your body, mind and emotions and give you strategies to ground yourself as you enter the fall. This 2-hour workshop will be co-led by Annette Fletcher (Pilates House), Denise Posnak Gaffney (MyBOD Wellness) and Kristen Rzasa (InterPlay Health).

WHO WE ARE
Annette Fletcher, owner of Pilates House, is a mover, mother and lover of all things that connect us to each other and the world around us. After graduating with a BFA in Dance from New World School of the Arts in Miami and studying Pilates with Elaine Wright, she started her Pilates career in New York City. She began Pilates House from her home on 74th Street in 2005 while dancing for choreographers such as Robert Battle and Ellis Wood. She became certified in all apparatus through PIA under the tutelage of Frankie Puglisi. After opening Pilates House, Annette taught certifications in Mat and Apparatus for PIA specializing on assisting Physical Therapists on utilizing the Pilates work into their healing practices. Annette is also certified by Yamuna Zake in Foot Fitness® which assists in restoring healthy foot function. Her teaching is influenced by the work of Tom Myers (Anatomy Trains), Eric Franklin (The Franklin Method), Rael Isacowitz (BASI Pilates), Elizabeth Larkham, and Yamuna Zake (Yamuna Body Rolling) and other mind body practices that give each private Pilates session or class a unique and personal touch to get the most out of the original Pilates work.
Denise Posnak Gaffney
Denise Posnak Gaffney is the founder of MyBOD Pilates + Wellness and has been teaching Pilates for over 17 years. She is a certified Romana's Pilates teacher, holds an MFA in Dance from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and is certified in pre and post-natal Pilates. She believes that when you are centered, aligned, strong and supple, your life expands. Denise embraces a mind/body connection that opens you to new levels of awareness and flexibility and works with her students on incorporating their physical work (in the studio) into their lifestyle. In addition to teaching in NYC, Denise offers online Pilates programs, business consultation sessions for fitness professionals and is the creator of Pilates For Fourth Trimester Moms, a 10-video series for moms who want to safely and effectively get their core back after birth.
Kristen Rzasa is an entrepreneur, speaker, blogger, podcaster, doTerra leader. MELT Method practitioner, and fitness instructor who helps clients feel radiant in their bodies and in their businesses. She may have traded in her corporate heels for workout sneakers, but she still brings that business acumen that can help you get to the next level. On her quest to feel good again in her body, she began a journey that led her to elevate her self care and discover natural solutions, particularly hands-off body work and essential oils. Sharing these tools evolved into more than a business, it became her mission and passion. She now empowers individuals to seek the gift of optimal health and a develop a heart centered business. Her desire for adventure, community and service has led her to the places such as Great Wall of China, the Taj Mahal at sunrise and the Camino de Santiago. What gets her out of bed in the morning is creating community, inspiring others and making world a little better each day.
